Dr Gallie Kawanzaruwa
Zimbabwean- UAE based academic has scooped the women changing the world global awards. Dr Gallie Kawanzaruwa scooped the bronze award for women in Education and silver award for the hall of Fame.Dr Gallie is a passionate educator with exceptional leadership traits. Having 32 years demonstrated history across the whole education spectrum (K- HE) in three continents - Asia, Europe and Africa. She holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University
of Durham UK, and continuing excellence through professional development.
Dr Gallie has played a pivotal role in influencing the strategic direction of educational and social establishments, and made an impact
in the operational areas of all organisations in different capacities in the Middle East, UK and Africa. An active volunteer with a
large social network, bringing positive changes to human lives. A mother of three and a grandmother of four children.
She has held the positions such as School Improvement Advisor,
Instructional Leadership Coordinator, School Principal among other key positions.
The Women Changing The World Awards are a global awards program that recognises Women changemakers globally. Acknowledging success in business, sustainability, leadership, health, education, product development, innovation and technology.
The inaugural Women Changing the World Global Summit took place in London on April 18 2023. It was a day of learning, storytelling, dreaming and truth-telling. This event brought together some of the world's most influential women to share wisdom, stories, and valuable insight. The Summit acts as the prelude to the Women Changing the World Awards which were held later in the evening. The Women Changing The World Awards presented by Dr. Tererai Trent a Zimbabwean - American woman whose unlikely educational success has inspired many around the world and brought her international fame.The women changing the world awards were designed to celebrate, support and inspire women and companies supporting women to unlock their true potential and be the positive, healing change that the world is waiting for. These awards focus specifically on changing the world through enabling equality for women and giving women a voice so that the women of the world, together with men can co-create the future.
Dr Gallie is also the co-founder of BK Foundation whose aim is to help less privileged students with scholarships and learning materials in Zimbabwe. She is also the Founder and Director of Hatfield Elite Academy in Harare and also the Founder of The Royal Corner , the recently established beauty parlour in Abhu Dhabhi (UAE)
