Women University Chairperson to grace Wedo financial literacy program

In celebrating the women's month,  women entrepreneurship day organisation will facilitate a 2 day training programme at Masvingo Polytechnic next week.  The training is being sponsored by Tongaat Hulett and Masvingo Polytechnic Department of Business Studies.  Women will be taken on financial literacy training. They will learn  business skills like  record keeping.  Marketing skills, drawing up a business plan, and entrepreneurship basic skills.  The 2nd day will see women receiving their certificates, and the day will be graced by  Advocate Rachel Chibaya  who is going to be the guest of honour.  

Advocate Rachel Chibaya is a registered legal practitioner and has been in private practice since 2010. 

She is the Founding Partner at R Chibaya Law Chambers, a middle size vibrant law firm in Harare.

In 2018, she was honoured  as the winner in the legal  service category at the Women in Enterprise Awards by the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce. In 2021 she was given a special  award  as a Legal Practitioner of Repute at  the  Zimbabwe CEO”s Network , In 2023 she was honoured  with the outstanding Strategic Leader  of the Year  Platinum Award  at the Megafest Women’s Business  Awards.

She is currently a councillor  at the Law Society of Zimbabwe  for the Harare Region. Rachel is a member of the International Bar Association in the United Kingdom.

She is a member of the SADC Lawyers Association 

She is the current Council Chairperson at Women ‘s University in Africa .

 She is the current vice  president  of the Association of the Justinian  Lawyers in Africa 

She is the former Board Vice Chairperson at National Pharmaceuticals a Company in Zimbabwe (Natpharm).


She sits on various boards as a trustee and a board member.


She is passionate towards corporate law, property law, family law, conveyancing, and Notarial practice


 She attained  a Master of Laws in Commercial Law in 2022  at the University of Zimbabwe.

She Advocates for Good Corporate Governance.


She is a Christian and a mother of three.
