Masvingo Prepares for UK Delegation as BluMarble Lodges Officially Opens its Doors

While the spotlight of Zimbabwe’s economic landscape will soon turn to the ZIM–UK Business Chamber Trade & Investment Indaba, set for 21–22 August 2025 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Harare, all eyes will shortly after shift to Masvingo a province rich in history, culture, and now, renewed opportunity.

In a bold show of vision and patriotism, Masvingo-born UK-based entrepreneur Nyasha Banhire has taken it upon himself to ensure that Zimbabwe’s narrative extends beyond boardrooms. Through his personal initiative, Banhire is sponsoring a full-day heritage experience for a UK delegation of tourists and business leaders on 23 August 2025, just one day after the Indaba concludes.

Ahead of this visit, BluMarble Lodges a new luxury destination blending Afro-modern elegance with authentic cultural ambience will host its official opening ceremony, to be officiated by Hon. Ezra Chadzamira, Minister of State for Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution. Located just 20 kilometers from the Great Zimbabwe Monuments, BluMarble Lodges represents a significant investment in the province’s tourism infrastructure and stands as a tangible example of diaspora-led development.

The UK delegation’s day in Masvingo will begin with a guided tour of the Great Zimbabwe Monuments, where the country’s heritage speaks through towering stone structures and ancient pathways. The itinerary also includes a scenic drive along Lake Mutirikwi, offering delegates a taste of the region’s natural beauty and tranquil landscapes.

To crown the experience, the group will enjoy a gastronomic lunch at BluMarble Lodges, featuring Zimbabwean cuisine reimagined with modern finesse. It’s not just a meal it’s a culinary journey that complements the day’s cultural and historical immersion.

“This isn’t just about tourism it’s about identity, pride, and investment in where we come from,” says Banhire. “You cannot say you have been to Zimbabwe without coming to Great Zimbabwe.”

Banhire’s vision serves as a clear reminder that economic transformation is most powerful when rooted in cultural appreciation and local empowerment. By linking Zimbabwe’s diaspora to its historical and economic heartbeat, this initiative not only promotes heritage tourism but also ignites new conversations around reinvestment, innovation, and inclusive growth.

As Masvingo opens its doors to the world led by sons and daughters who still believe in its promise a new chapter is unfolding. One where tradition fuels progress, and home becomes a destination of opportunity.
