My Age Zimbabwe launches Youths TV

A Youth led organisation that champions youth leadership participation gender equality and the health and rights of adolescence and young people My Age Zimbabwe in partnership with  Population Service Zimbabwe with the support from Embassy of Sweden in Zimbabwe has officially launched the 263 Youth Studio.

The Studio will be broadly hosting programs that contributes to reaching out to its targeted audience through digital interventions like digital conversations, talk shows, documentaries, dialogues and street youths.

Various organisations including Zimbabwe National Family Planning Council, Say What, and Ministry of Health and Child Care attended the event

Population Services Zimbabwe director, Pester Siraha said that she hopes for the studio to be used in amplifying the young people’s voices. “The digital technology is a good platform to capitalise young people’s talents and the studio will bring a great potential to point out many challenges and solutions being faced by the young people in our society through talk shows, dialogues and digital conversation, “ she said.

The guest of Honour, Hon E Chadzamira who is the Minister of State represented by Ms Rose Chingwe,who is the Director in the President Office and Cabinet who officially opened the studio congratulated My Age Zimbabwe for launching the 263 Youth studio as it gives youth another voice to view their opinions through documentaries, dialogues and digital conversations.

“ the Youth 263 studio will complement the efforts of the government in fighting against drug and subsistence abuse in Zimbabwe as it will share information and provide a platform for people to engage and innovatively challenge the use of drugs in Zimbabwe,” she said.

The studio was officially lauched on 22 November 2022
