The HENRYARTHUR Hospitality Business School marked a significant milestone as it hosted a successful graduation ceremony at the Masvingo Sports Club on 24 April, celebrating a new cohort of skilled graduates ready to enter Zimbabwe’s hospitality industry. The event was attended by hospitality experts and industry stakeholders, underscoring the institution’s growing influence in the sector.
The ceremony brought together graduates, partners, and professionals to witness the school’s continued contribution to skills development in culinary arts, baking, food service, and hospitality management. Established in 2022, the institution has quickly distinguished itself as the only private hospitality college in the southern region, earning a reputation for excellence and industry relevance.
Speaking at the event, veteran hospitality guru and expert, Professor Fredrick Kasese, challenged graduates to embrace entrepreneurship and take charge of their futures. He encouraged them to establish their own bakery businesses and become job creators, emphasizing that success comes through diligence, faith, and commitment. He noted that God blesses the work of one’s hands when pursued with purpose.
Founder of the institution, Arthur Masocha, paid tribute to individuals and stakeholders who believed in the vision of the school during its formative years. He acknowledged that the institution’s growth and achievements are rooted in the faith and support it received at its inception.
Since its establishment, HENRYARTHUR Hospitality Business School has trained over 100 students, maintaining an outstanding 100 percent pass rate. Impressively, all graduates have been absorbed into the industry, with many securing part-time roles during their training through strong partnerships with hotels, catering companies, and lodges. These collaborations provide essential hands-on experience, ensuring that students graduate as competent and industry-ready professionals.
Operating as a registered HEXCO centre, the school offers a wide range of accredited programmes, including National Foundation Certificate (NFC), National Certificate (NC), and National Diploma (ND) qualifications in key hospitality disciplines. Its training is aligned with the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, contributing to Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030 and the Education 5.0 framework, which emphasizes innovation, industrialisation, and skills development.
The institution continues to experience steady growth, recording an annual enrolment increase of 10 percent. Located at Stand Number 9651 Cary Street in Rhodene, Masvingo, the school is steadily positioning itself as a centre of excellence in hospitality education.
As Zimbabwe’s tourism and hospitality sector expands, HENRYARTHUR Hospitality Business School remains committed to developing skilled professionals who are not only job-ready but also capable of creating opportunities and driving economic growth.
